WELCOME TO CAMP WILDERNESS…
Welcome to the webpage of Camp Wilderness! Here, you’ll find all of the up to date information about Camp Wilderness 2024. So, make sure you bookmark this page and check back in for updates.
This Fall we will enjoy our third gathering at Fall Creek Falls State Park—a 30,000 acre preserve sprawled across the top of the rugged Cumberland Plateau. Here we can enjoy cascades, gorges, waterfalls, and old forests of hardwood timber, all from the comfort of safe, dry cabins!
The staggering Fall Creek Falls are the jewel of the park, plunging 256 feet into a shaded pool. For my money, it is the highest wa- terfall east of the Rockies. On your drive in, you will also see a 345 acre lake that is home to state record catches of catfish and bluegill. We also have our own private river and swimming hole just a five minute walk from our cabins. We can explore our river, Grinning Possum, with the 10 provided canoes and lifejackets, and if we row gently upstream we can the river and all its rocky banks!
Get ready for competition, hiking, water adventures, community, music, memorable dinners, and rest at Camp Wilderness! Three cheers for sleeping in cabins and not on the ground!
